Fly Away Home

We had an exciting week in second grade.  Our painted lady butterflies emerged from their chrysalises and we were able to release them and watch them return to nature.  Our monarch caterpillars have  tripled in size and will soon be making their chrysalises.  We also worked on a few projects we hope to show you at Open House on Tuesday.  

First full week

Our hard working 2nd graders jumped into our first full week with enthusiasm.  They absolutely love learning and showing what they have learned. We are observing our monarch and painted lady caterpillars progressing through their life cycles. The monarchs got 50% bigger in just 2 days, wow! We are looking at patterns in math and discovering the impact fall changes have on people and nature.
